He went to South Africa in 1922 as part of the 1820 Settler Scheme which sponsored young men to emigrate and learn farming and was accompanied by his younger brother Horatio.
Known as Horace. He went to South Africa in 1922 as part of the 1820 Settler Scheme which sponsored young men to emigrate and learn farming. He was taken out of his final year of school at Brighton College to accompany his older brother George.
Lived in Glanvilles Wooton, Dorset.
